All of the photographs are exposed on black & white film using medium format or 4 X 5 cameras. The negatives are processed by hand in Kodak Tmax developer. The negatives are hand printed on Illford fiber base paper and processed to archival standards. The finished prints are mounted on acid free paper.

By carefully controlling the direction of light and the contrasting effect of the shadows, I work at creating uncluttered compositions which portray the subject in an elegant manner. My figure photographs exhibit a strong sensitivity to the human form and are crafted with simplicity and strength of design. The resulting images contain beauty, clarity and attempt to mirror the spirit of the subject.
